On the backdrop of the spreading Coronavirus crisis in Italy and several other countries, the organizers of the World Remanufacturing Summit in Milan in conjunction with the government of the Lombardia Region have decided to cancel the WRS 2020 event scheduled for March 2nd and 3rd.
Instead, the organizers, the Politecnico di Milan, are looking for appropriate dates later in the year, possibly in June.
In a joint statement Professor Marcello Colledani of Polimi and the regional government declared:
"As a precautionary measure and in order to minimise any risk of further possible spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, the Ministry of Health in agreement with the Government of Lombardy established by decree the suspension of events, initiatives or public meetings until the 1st of March."
Under the circumstances, aiming to ensure a successful event with the widest participation, the Lombardy Region and Politecnico di Milano decided to postpone the Summit until a later date.
Information on the rescheduled event will be posted on the event web-page as soon as possible.
"Thanks for your understanding."
